ABOUT RED STALLION MUAY THAI

With a facility situated in Northcliff, this gym dedicated to Muay Thai was established by Simon Rutte in 2012.  Simon and his team have trained up countless students and professionals over the years. One of whom is the current owner, Daniela Rotteglia who took over the gym in 2023, renaming it Red Stallion Muay Thai. Daniela has maintained the gym’s established reputation for building mental and physical strength to all who enter its doors.

Having reached Professional status and with competition wins under her belt, Daniela has fought in Thailand and was selected to represent South Africa internationally in 20/21.

She is adept at building up beginners in a safe and secure environment while fostering mental and physical strength among pupils and Professionals alike. Fully equipped (beginners only need to bring a towel and bottled water), Red Stallion Muay Thai promotes discipline and self-confidence.

While Muay Thai is all about training to take on an opponent, it is very much about learning to win or lose gracefully. There is no animosity out of the ring, in fact, former ‘opponents’ unite tightly when representing South African Muay Thai internationally.
